Marc Bühler studied Zoology and obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Berne, Switzerland. After postdoctoral training in the group of Prof. Moazed at Harvard Medical School, he returned to Switzerland where he is now a Group Leader at the renowned Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI) in Basel. The FMI is supported by the Novartis Research Foundation and is devoted to fundamental biomedical research. Research in Marc Bühler’s group is aimed at understanding the basic molecular mechanisms of health and disease, focused on the mechanisms and conservation of epigenetic processes that are under the control of non-coding RNAs. Marc Bühler is an EMBO Young Investigator and holds a Swiss National Science Foundation Professorship.
